Legal notice
This page sets out who owns the content on this site, what the platform is and is not responsible for, and how to tell us about infringing or prohibited content.
The platform is a matchmaker between compute supply and demand, not a producer of compute:
rental machines come from individuals hosting them, while rendering tasks run on the platform's own machines.
That position is what the allocation of responsibility in the sections below follows from — read them with it in mind.
1. What this page is
This page is published by the operator of the platform and supplements the terms of service
and the privacy policy. The operator's registered name and filing details are published together with
this site's filing information; for written operator details or a receipt, contact an administrator from the console.
Where this page conflicts with either of those documents, the terms of service prevail.
2. Intellectual property
- The page designs, copy, graphics and program code on this site belong to the platform operator; open-source components used within them belong to their respective rights holders under their own licences.
- Data, models and code you produce inside an instance belong to you — the platform claims no rights over them and takes no licence by providing the service.
- A machine hosted by an owner remains the owner's property; the platform only rents it out on their behalf and transfers no ownership.
- Without written permission you may not copy, mirror or bulk-scrape this site's content for commercial use.
3. Where the platform's responsibility ends
- The platform provides the service as it stands and promises no availability, performance or stability figures. A power cut, a dropped line or a shutdown on the owner's side takes an instance away.
- Licences and compliance for third-party software running inside an instance are the user's responsibility; the platform neither reviews nor warrants them.
- In a dispute between users, or between a user and an owner, the platform may help them talk but owes no compensation.
- The platform provides no public address for an instance, and is not responsible for any access to an instance that goes around the platform.
- The platform is not a virtual-currency service provider and neither takes part in nor supports mining in any form — see section 5 of the terms of service for the prohibitions.
4. What you run inside an instance is on you
- Whether the content in an instance is lawful, whether its software licences are in order and whether its data is safe are entirely the tenant's responsibility.
- Using the platform to create, store or distribute unlawful content, to attack others or as a hop is prohibited — item by item in section 5 of the terms of service.
- Where a user's conduct leaves the platform facing a third-party claim or action by a competent authority, the platform may seek recovery from that user.
5. Third-party links and services
The site may point at third parties (an open-source project's home page, a payment channel, the official repository for a system image).
Those links are there for convenience only; the platform is not responsible for their accuracy, lawfulness or availability, and does not recommend or warrant them.
6. Export and compliance
Users must satisfy themselves that their use breaks no export-control, economic-sanction or other applicable law of their own
jurisdiction or of the People's Republic of China. The platform bears no responsibility beyond what review it is required to perform.
7. Reporting infringing or prohibited content
If you find infringing content, unlawful content, mining or other prohibited conduct on the site or in an instance,
report it to a platform administrator from the console and include the following:
- Your identity and a working contact address, as rights holder or as the reporter.
- Where the content or conduct complained of is, as precisely as you can (instance number, time, what was observed).
- Initial evidence of the infringement, or a description and evidence of the prohibited conduct.
- A statement that the above is true and that you accept responsibility for a report that turns out to be false.
On receiving it the platform will check. If the complaint holds, it may stop the instance, block it from being powered on or ban the account,
and where necessary report to the authorities and hand over the records. If it does not hold, or the material is incomplete, the reporter is asked to supply more.
The party acted against may answer in writing with evidence. If on review the platform accepts the answer, the measures are lifted and
service resumes; the measures already taken stay in place while that review runs.
8. Governing law
This page is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes are settled by negotiation first; failing that,
either side may bring proceedings before the court with jurisdiction where the platform operator is based.
9. Updates to this page
Updates are published on this page and are not notified separately. If you keep using the platform afterwards you are taken to accept them.
